If you are up to date in terms of technology, in general, and mobile phones, in particular, surely you have found out that the MWC 2018 has been held. Well, in this tutorial we are going to teach you how to take a screenshot on the Samsung Galaxy, smartphones.
As we always do in CdP, we are going to see what the physical buttons of the Samsung Galaxy are and where they are, and then explain the different ways to perform the screenshot on the Galaxy.
Buttons on the Samsung Galaxy Tab
In this Samsung S9 , we have four physical buttons on the sides: three on the left side and one on the right. To find out well, do not forget that you have to have the mobile with the front screen (as if we were looking at Twitter).
1 and 2: Volume buttons : they are in charge of raising and lowering the volume of music, alarm, games, etc.
3: Bixby button : we remind you that Bixby is responsible for voice recognition in Samsung. Come on, like Siri on the iPhone .
4: Power button and lock: as its name says, it is in charge of turning on, off, locking and unlocking our Galaxy phones.
Well, we already know where the different buttons are on our smartphone, therefore, we are going to what really interests us, which is nothing more than knowing how to take a screenshot on our Samsung Galaxy.
Screenshot on Samsung Tab
There are different ways to make screenshots on our S9 so let’s go one by one with them:
Screenshot on the Samsung Galaxy with the buttons
The first of the ways is to take the screen capture using the physical buttons. To do this, we take the mobile as we have done when viewing the buttons, that is, from the front. Let us see the screen of our mobile. The only thing we will have to do to take the screen capture is press the lock button and the volume down button at the same time that we have seen in the previous point. That easy! If everything has gone correctly, we will notice a slight vibration. Relax, it is a good sign: you have done well and you have taken your screenshot in a satisfactory way.
And, in case it was not well explained, we have had the good gesture of making a montage of how you should press the buttons to take the screenshot:
Screenshot with Edge Screen
Another way we have to capture the screen on our Samsung Galaxy is through the Edge Screen option .
First of all, we must activate it first if we do not already have it active. To do this, we must select and drag the Edge tab (from the side). At this point you can move left and right depending on what you want to activate. You have to bring the Smart Edge to Smart Select. This is when you should select the option you want, for example, rectangle . At this point, you must select the part of the screen that you want to capture. It works just like when you resize or crop a photo. If you want to take a screenshot of the entire screen of your S9, you will have to cover the window that has been overlaid in all of it (height and width 100%).
When you have selected the part of the screen that you want to save, click on “Done” and the image will be saved. It seems more difficult than it is but everything is getting used to 😉
Screenshot on Tab with Bixby
Another way to take a screenshot on the Galaxy S9 is through Samsung’s virtual assistant: Bixby .
First of all, we have to make sure that we have this option activated. Once verified, all we have to do is say to our mobile as if it were a magic lamp these words: « Take screenshot «. It seems like a joke but it is not. As soon as you have told him, your screenshot will be made and you can save it, share it or do whatever you want with it.
Screenshot on the Samsung Galaxy with gestures
And finally, a way that we already discussed for the Galaxy S4 , which is through a wave of the hand. Not exactly that in that terminal but very similar.
The first thing we have to do is activate this option. If you do not have it active, you will have to go to Settings> Advanced Functions and activate « Move palm to … «. Thus, we activate it.
Finally, we will have to make the gesture for this screenshot to be made . We pass the palm of the hand from left to right or vice versa, as more anger gives you, and automatically the Samsung Galaxy S9 will do the capture. Wow!
