How To Do Subscript in Word

Bellow are the methods to do subscript in Word;

Ribbon Buttons
  • Select the element 
  • Click on Home Tab 
  • Go to Font Format 
  • Select Superscript and Subscript.

Font Dialog Box
  • Select the element 
  • Click on Home Tab
  • Find and click on Arrow in the right below corner
  • And click on Superscript  and Subscripts.

Keyboard Shortcuts

  • Select the element 

  • Press Key Combination Ctrl + = (For Subscripts) and Ctrl + Shift ++ (For Superscripts).

Automatic Formats

We already seen this in Word while typing the sentences. To use this format we have to do the setting before in Word. This format helps to write 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th automatically. For this you have to use Auto Correct option in Word.

Equation Editor
  • Click on Insert.

  • Go to Symbols and Equation Editor.
